PlantIdentify (plant.hurated.com, iOS app at ~/Downloads/GitHub/brankovsky-git/PlantIdentify-iOS) helps plant carers identify, diagnose and care for houseplants. pin.hurated.com is its companion that lets you re-post plant pictures you already took in PlantIdentify to boards you own on Pinterest via the official Pinterest API v5. This policy describes what we collect and how we handle Pinterest data per Pinterest Developer Guidelines.

1. What we collect

• Plant photos you choose to share — only pictures you explicitly select in PlantIdentify (identify/diagnose/care schedule) to re-post. We do not scrape your library.
• Pinterest OAuth tokens (access_token, refresh_token, expiry) — only after you click Connect Pinterest and approve boards:read, boards:write, pins:read, pins:write, user_accounts:read. Stored in Postgres accounts on oracle.getoutfit.net (host, never committed to git).
• Board & Pin metadata you provide — board IDs, Pin titles (≤100), descriptions (≤800), media URLs, schedule times (post_queue).
• Technical — account status, attempt counts, error logs, health metrics. No Pinterest password or session cookies are ever solicited.

2. How we use Pinterest data

• Only to publish plant Pins you explicitly scheduled — you pick each photo and each board (no bulk auto-follow, no auto-publish, no background scraping). Calls are POST /v5/pins with your Bearer token, plus GET /v5/boards to list your boards.
• We call the API each time we need data; we do not retain Pinterest content beyond your queue/analytics, and we never combine your data with other users’ data or with other services.
• We never share or sell Pinterest data to third parties. Data is shown only to you via /api/*.

3. Storage, sharing, and credentials

• Tokens stay on our server (prod/pin on oracle.getoutfit.net, Germany) and are never logged, never put in git, never shared. .config/ is gitignored.
• Rate limits and Retry-After are respected; publishing is idempotent via FOR UPDATE SKIP LOCKED.

4. Publishing content

Pins we publish on your behalf are your own plant photos and link back to the source media you supplied. They are clearly attributed to your Pinterest account. We do not obscure Pinterest content or create derivative content for distribution outside Pinterest. This aligns with Bring everyone the inspiration to create a life they love — here, plant-care inspiration.

5. Retention & your rights

• Queue and analytics (post_queue, analytics_log) until you delete via Dashboard (Delete buttons) or DELETE /api/*, or email privacy@hurated.com for full erasure (30-day backup retention).
• Disconnect: DELETE /api/accounts/:id removes tokens immediately. GDPR applies (EU host).
